The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Fort Worth District announced on Friday that 50-amp campsites, which are currently $28 per night, will increase to $30 per night year-round.

The 30-amp tent sites located in Rocky Creek Park will now be $26 per night year-round, while primitive sites in Yegua Creek Park will remain at $20 per night year-round.

There will no longer be a price reduction during the winter season, between October 1st and February 28th.

Reservations made before April 1st will not be impacted by the price increase.

Camping fees at Lake Somerville were last increased in 2014.

Lake visitors are encouraged to wear a life jacket any time they are in or near the water.
